The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.
The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 436 luxury accommodations including 359 guest rooms, 55 residences and 22 suites with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the oversight of accounting processes at the hotel including Accounts payables, Accounts Receivable, Month-End and Internal Control processes. They will support and assist the Asst Director of Finance and the Director of Finance as needed. Some of the responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist the ADOF and DOF with Accounts payable duties including invoice scanning, payment processing and Birchstreet updates
- Assist in credit card queries as directed by the accountant/shared services
- Daily checking of chargebacks, investigate the reasons and resolve with Front office/reservations
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Assist in monitoring of internal control reviews and processes across all hotel divisions
- Assist with Month end closing such as payable accruals
- Understand and enforce Hyatt policies as it pertains to finance
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communications skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial accounting systems use preferred (Oracle, Opera)
- Assist Condo association manager as needed
- Two years accounting experience
