SATCOM Engineer
Long-term contract with Potential to convert

Job Description
The ideal candidate will serve as a thought leader for the entire system and represent the teams technical approach to the customer. Daily responsibilities include developing a SATCOM terminal that must seamlessly integrate into an existing system. The role requires someone capable of architecting systems that encompass space segments from commercial vendors, ground segments provided by the government, and the developed terminal segment to ensure compatibility of all elements. This person has extensive experience in SATCOM radio and antenna technologies as well as a thorough understanding of platforms and payloads. Collaboration with commercial satellite companies and government entities is essential to ensure all components function cohesively. This position is focused on leading systems engineering efforts without personnel management duties.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Eligible for DoD secret clearance
- Bachelors degree in engineering or other related field
- 15-20 years of systems engineering experience with at least 10 in SATCOM systems engineering specifically building the satellite terminal and the system to communicate with the terminal
- Experience with ASOS, Parabolics, and SATCOM wave forms
-Experience with AEHF (advanced extremely high frequency) and PTW (protected tactical) waveforms
-Experience with geosynchronous orbit satellites
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Masters in engineering or other related field
- Previous experience working for space internet provider
