




Overview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This assembly position performs a wide variety of fiber assembly, filtration product assembly or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing fiber bundling, filter potting, filter welding, fitting on assembly units and packaging. The employee also works as a team member in whatever capacity and job function is required to deliver a quality product to our customer in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual assembly of complex fiber, membrane, and polycarbonate components.
- Responsible for packaging products, assembly of kits, assembly and package product according to the Bill of Materials and Operations Sequence per Work Instructions.
- Capable of operating machinery and hand and tools (for example) drill press, dermal, scoring routing table, washing machine, annealing auto clave, tweezers, picks.
- Identifies quality problems and follows reporting procedures.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications as stated in Lot History Record for the assembly and verification of Sub-Assemblies and Final Assemblies.
- Ability to read simple schematic and isometric drawings/diagrams and be able to follow the assembly drawings according to job specifications.
- Responsible for being the primary trainer of assembler 1 and ensuring training effectiveness.
- Occasionally overtime (OT) is required at the weekend.
- Occasionally required to start shift earlier than normal w/(OT) overtime.
- Perform verifications and documentation review of work orders to ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices.
- Clean, maintain, and operate automated production equipment per SOPs.
- Keep working areas per the 5S requirements methodology.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Regularly required using (polyurethane-polycin and polyurethane-vorite material.)
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Due to the nature of the work and compliance with safety protocols/regulations, fluency in English (reading and writing) is required.
- 3+ years of medical device assembly experience.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment and good understanding of basic computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or twist.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Peripheral vision and Depth perception.
- Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals or airborne particles
- Primarily in-door cleanroom work with usually loud noise level.
