Apex Systems is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst for one of our top Financial Services clients in St. Paul, MN.

Position Summary:
This position will support the Fund Accounting and Performance Reporting unit in the preparation and review of accounting, financial, performance, and regulatory reporting information related to investment portfolios within the Company’s variable life insurance and annuity product separate accounts.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Executes relevant accounting and oversight tasks to support financial reporting cycles with particular focus on supporting:
- Individual/group life and annuity variable product separate accounts
- Works with external third party in calculation of daily unit values and net asset values for all variable product separate accounts
- Ensures accurate and timely investment portfolio performance calculations and reporting
- Executes/oversees relevant financial reporting activities:
- Statutory annual statement (“Green Book”) filings for variable product separate accounts
- Audited financial statements
Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of accounting and financial reporting background/knowledge
- Experience in the financial services industry and/or SEC mutual fund/investment company reporting preferred
- Adept at flexing between being a strong collaborator and working independently to meet deadlines
