 SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for raising the awareness of the Costco Auto Program at roughly 50+ Costco Warehouses in the U.S.  The Warehouse Marketing and Support visitor supports their territory through a combination of face to face visits, maintenance of all marketing material and continual remote employee support.  They are responsible for educating key warehouse personnel on the value the program delivers to both their membership and to the bottom line. They share program updates, processes and procedures while brainstorming ways to increase program awareness through displays. Additionally the visitor updates marketing materials, evaluates and maintains display pieces and visits competitors while in the field.  After each visit the visitor is responsible for recording all aspects of the Warehouse file in the company’s internal CRM (contacts, displays, visit evaluation form, etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Build a relationship with key warehouse contacts through face to face presentations and ongoing communication

·       Travel to assigned territories 5+ times, or as assigned, per year (Equates to approximately 24+ weeks of travel per year)  

·       Work to secure permanent, highly visible marketing display locations

·       Educate key warehouse personnel on the program processes, procedures, value offerings and opportunities

·       Coordinate and promote marketing collateral to support limited-time special offers with warehouse and contacts

·       Gather accurate information from warehouse contacts and enter into database

·       Coordinate with assigned Display Scheduler to provide maximum support to the warehouse

·       Keep display and POP clean, maintained and presentable

·       Update the Marketing department and other internal parties with appropriate information from external sources 

·       Visit competitor locations to evaluate and document marketing efforts

·       Other tasks as assigned by department manager

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

A four-year college or university degree with 3+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience as noted by the following Experience REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIREMENTS: 

·       Proven account management or other relevant experience

·       Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and corporate level

·       Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail while meeting deadlines

·       Excellent listening, negotiating, and presentation skills

·       Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity

·       Ability to prioritize among competing tasks and remain efficient

·       Critical thinking and problem solving skills

·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Phone Apps, and high comfort level with new, or changing technology

·       Excellent follow-up skills; detail-oriented

·       Able to present content in a logical and organized manor

·       Friendly demeanor and positive attitude

·       Is flexible and works well in a remote team environment

·       Self-motivated, must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

·       Able to successfully  plan long term

·       Able to successfully travel 24+ weeks per year 

·       Continually strives to improve skills and knowledge

·       Lifting (up to 50lbs)

·       Canadian French Conversation/Writing (+), but not essential 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work as a member of a remote team, ability to accept performance critique and make adjustments in a positive manner.  Able to offer critique of business structure, directions and focus and offer suggestions to correct, improve and adjust.
