Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION - This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.  

Essential Functions:

1.     Verify and inspect receipt of incoming goods.

2.     Understanding basic computer functions of our system.

3.     Process and package parts for shipment.

4.     Picking parts from stock for work orders and sales orders.

5.     Pick up parts from inspection department.

6.     Work very closely with purchasing and sales departments

7.     Basic understanding of blue prints.

8.     Mount machines to skids and load semi-trucks.

9.     Ability to withstand walking the length of the building several times daily.

10.   Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

11.   Ability to operate forklift and crane.

12.   Understands the shipping aspect of shipping, mostly includes, UPS, air freights, etc. (smaller type packages)

13.   Should have good organizational skills.

14.   Must have average mathematical skills.

15.   Directly involve in inventory and cycle counts.

16.  Quality of output will be the responsibility of the individual and will be responsible to comply with safety rules and regulations at Bourn & Koch Machine Tool.

17.  The individual must be able to communicate both in writing and verbally in English.

18.   The job duties involve periodic supplier pickup and delivery; a valid driver’s license is required.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:  This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for up to 4 hours; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and move/climb around machines. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:  This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:  High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.  Previous forklift & crane experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:  Prior warehouse clerk experience.
