As a Software Engineer,
you will develop software to enable on time delivery of Bombardier Cityflo650
Projects. To this end you will be part of a team developing Tools used by both
Vehicle and Wayside groups.


Design software using C / C++, JAVA, C# and .NET on workstations and embedded controllers based on customer requirements.

Prepare estimates to complete work tasks, monitoring engineering progress against budget throughout project duration.

Generate and oversee technical deliverables to ensure schedule and quality of work are maintained.

Develop diverse software solutions for use by the Wayside and Vehicle teams as we work to meet project delivery.

Work across several diverse projects simultaneously, understand system-level implementation strategies.

Work harmoniously in teams with diverse backgrounds in Pittsburgh and internationally.

Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communications skills.


Basic Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in design, testing and commissioning, or maintenance of software in C# / C++ programming languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with version control systems.
- Knowledge of SQL or database design.
- Knowledge of communications based rail signaling systems (CBTC).
