Purpose of Position-

The Sr. Coordinator for the Joy in Childhood Foundation (the Foundation) will support the administrative processes of the Foundation including donor management, and financial processing. With direction from the Sr. Specialist, this position is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation donor acknowledgments, record keeping, and financial reporting are executed and reported accurately. In addition, this position will support day-to-day accounting, administering the donor management system including acknowledgements and performing certain administrative tasks as well as annual compliance renewals

What You’ll Be Working On-

  • Administer and manage Raisers Edge, donor management system
    • Maintain accurate and current donor files
    • Generate necessary reports for national and regional boards, subcommittees and monthly reconciliations
    • Generate event registration reports for Events Specialist
    • Focus on continuous improvement processes for the donor management system
    • Administer Online Express donor-facing event registration and donation website
  • Work with Communications Manager on content development for webpages
  • Build event webpages within Online Express in clear and consistent manner
  • Oversee day-to day accounting functions for the Foundation including:
    • Process all donations and event registrations using Raisers Edge database in accurate and efficient manner
    • Deposit checks/cash to bank
    • Create and distribute acknowledgement tax letters for all donors and adhere to all acknowledgement requirements
    • Build, track and invoice all pledge receivables
    • Process all invoices and grants for payment
    • Maintain accurate and complete audit files
  • Support grant making processes including drafting gift agreements

What You’ll Need-

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, marketing, business or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant nonprofit experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with Raisers Edge Donor Management strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and other applications, e.g. MS Word, MS Excel
  • Exemplary interpersonal, listening, and facilitation skills
