The Ikon Organization, a subsidiary of NFP is seeking to hire a Product Manager.The Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the services and benefits that each Client is provided. This includes: gathering and prioritizing services and benefits for each of the Client’s requirements, and defining the vision for the services provided with all departments to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the services and benefits provided to each Client support the overall strategy and goals that were established. The Book of Business of a Product Manager contains Clients that may range from small to large Preferred and Elite accounts. The Product Managers oversee the Client Managers and other team members. They report directly to the Director of the Insurance Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides strategic recommendations to drive growth of insurance or benefits products.
  • Develop benefits plans for Clients.
  • Make presentations to customers.
  • Have interfaces with Clients regarding deliverables.
  • Works with and manages cross-functional teams.
  • Be familiar with the standard concepts of the services and benefits development, so that the pricing can be competitive with the market.
  • Be aware of targeted market and the activities necessary to reach the desired market through pricing and strategies to maximize the Book of Business assigned.
  • Works with other departments to develop the information and technical specifications for the services and benefits.
  • Plans the steps and deadlines necessary to meet the goals so the Client can have the desired benefits, products and services.
  • Stays on top of current trends and competitors. Uses information to stay competitive in the cost and benefits of the services that were offered.
  • Seeks out new opportunities for development.
  • Conducts market and equity analysis data and prepares recommendations.
  • Produce and maintain an updated forecast for each Client.
  • Schedule and lead meetings with a broad range of people.
  • Provide consultant level advice to Clients in order to assist them in dealing with their insurance and compliance challenges.
  • Ensures that each Client Manager assigned to their Book of Business is complying with the taking care of customers and customer retention requirements.
  • Contacts key stake holder at preferred and elite Clients at least once a month to maintain reasonable communication and asses Client’s needs and or risks.
  • Responsible to retain 98% of assigned Book of Business and penetrate with new services and products, to increase revenue in the line of business.
  • Engage in cross selling activities with other IKON line of businesses to contribute to IKON Groups organizational budget requirements.
  • Engage in sales activities to contribute to IKON Insurance budget requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
  • Ability to travel to customers’ locations.
  • Proven Client management expertise.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. Including the ability to effectively communicate information to supervisors that can be valued in increasing productivity, quality and Client satisfaction.
  • Incumbents in this position must have teamwork and team building skills.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Client Manager or related position serving clients
    10 years of experience in a job in the insurance market
    Bachelor's degree in business Administration or related field, MBA preferred


    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

    Appropriately licensed (Life, Disability, Health and Miscellaneous Brokers License)
