Program Overview

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

Role Overview

This position will work closely with other data analysts on the Stream Operations team to measure, identify, and analyze user data and work to come up with actionable items to improve user experiences. These actionable items can be tasks to hand off to mobile and web engineering teams for resolution or additional reporting, as well as things we may be able to resolve within the operations team.

This position will also work on visualizing data points, understanding what it tells us about the user's experience in our applications, and presenting them to key stakeholders that care about this data.

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Analyzing day to day user data for the Xfinity Stream mobile, web, Roku, and Smart TV video streaming application.

-Meeting with the operations team regularly to keep up with tasks that come in, and/or questions to answer regarding the data.

-Helping in visualizing data points as a method of explanation for user impacting issues, or other concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United Statesbased college or university that has a cooperative learning track

-Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23rd, 2019.

-Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering

-3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred

-Understanding and enjoying analyzing data is also preferred.

-Authorized to work in the United States of America
