Qualifications

Performs all aspects of clinical medical physics support in Radiation Oncology/Gamma Knife. Under the direction of the Medical Director and the department Radiation Oncologists works as a member of the Radiation Oncology team. Is responsible for acquisition, installation, calibration, and acceptance of radiation treatment equipment. Is responsible for documentation of quality measures, as defined by the State of Ohio. The Medical Physicist is responsible for his/her own professional development and practices within the scope of care defined by law. Utilizing organizational resources the Medical Physicist acts as a patient advocate for safe care, including participation in performance improvement activities. His/her responsibilities in Radiation Oncology reflect the mission, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and the department.

Requirements:
• Must possess a Master's degree in Medical Physics or in Physics with a Medical Physics emphasis.
• Must have a minimum of two years recent clinical medical physics experience in Radiation Oncology.
• Must obtain BSL certification.
