The IT Support Technician you will provide first-line support on IT hardware, software and systems for on-site at our 3 US locations and for our remote employees. You should possess a basic working knowledge of computer networking and troubleshooting. You will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment and automated production lines by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the 3 US subsidiaries by communicating with the internal Global IT Helpdesk.

Your Responsibilities

  • Field calls to provide first-line support for problems on all applications/hardware configurations and resolve issues quickly related but not limited to hardware malfunctions, software errors, passwords, printer configurations/errors/jams, software installations/configurations, VPN/remote connection and wireless configuration/connectivity.
  • Evaluating and properly escalating service requests that match suitable resources and logging all IT related incidents with the use of service management software.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, document and resolve hardware and software issues, help desk requests, successful and unsuccessful with brief description on resolution.
  • Monitor and follow-up on all outstanding issues to ensure proper and efficient resolution or to update the client as to the current status.
  • Support the administration of the computer network and automated production lines and small repairs as necessary.
  • Configures and troubleshoots desktop PCs, laptops, thin clients, and related software and peripherals for all new and existing employees onsite or remotely.
  • Mobile device support and management.
  • Field calls to provide first-line support for problems for our US locations regarding critical events such as security breaches, virus, server and service outages for the US locations .
  • Document procedures and processes for internal use.
  • Assist in special projects and perform any related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
. Requirements:

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • 1-2 years of practical IT support experience
  • Strong understanding of computers (both hardware and software) such as Windows Server/ Citrix/ MS Office Applications/365 and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology (Dynamics AX or 365 is a plus)
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people (Spanish or Dutch plus)
  • Intermediate experience supporting Microsoft Windows O/S and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
  • Familiarity with Service Management Software or other incident tracking systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software and related technology and supporting iOS and Android.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and operates with a sense of urgency.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This is an office-based position

  • May be frequently exposed to cold conditions, moderate noise levels and moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to travel to our Portland, OR and Oxnard, CA offices for support as needed (25%)
