Job Description
The primary role of the financial analyst position will be to deliver timely and accurate financial reports and analysis of the Order-to-Cash function. This position will assist the finance manager to drive automation and efficiencies of all financial reporting. The person must have the desire and ability to quickly learn new skills. This is a developmental position so the ideal candidate is someone looking to advance in accounting or finance role at Meritor.

Job Responsibilities:

•Perform accounting functions including, but not limited to, closing and opening each period, creating journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and researching out of balance issues between the sites.
•Assist in preparing and analyzing bad debt recommendations.
•Develop, track, and deliver financial reports, and metrics.
•Data Management ensures daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations are completed accurate and timely between multiple system interfaces.
•Develop and deliver a standard monthly reporting package that will allow Order-to-Cash to measure and improve departmental goals towards world class performance.
•Support all continuous improvement projects that affect the finance group within the Order-to-Cash Shared Services and assist in tracking and resolving system issues.
•Support internal and external audits. Ensure controls are being followed and processes documented.
•Complete Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing as required.
•Cross functional back-up for other personnel within the group. Job Requirements
•Bachelor degree in business, accounting or finance required
•Ideal candidate has 1-5 years of experience in finance, automotive manufacturing experience preferred
•Experience in Accounts Receivable preferred
•Experience in financial analysis and planning required
•Strong analytical and problem resolution skills required
•Highly effective communication and influencing skills required
•Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems required (Oracle specifically a plus) financial systems and Microsoft Office Products
•MS Office suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; MS Access experience preferred
