Job Description

Job Summary

The Enterprise Support Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day operational support in relation to Dynamics AX ERP application issues across all ERP modules. The Enterprise Support Specialist is expected to be agile enough to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of issues, and to escalate problems to appropriate senior technicians when necessary while delivering an outstanding customer focused service level.

Essential Duties

  • Operate within the Dynamics AX ERP environment and supporting business applications to ensure efficient business process operation
    • Provide operational support related to Dynamics AX ERP application issues
      • Sales Order Management
      • Freight management
      • Warehousing process
      • Inventory control and distribution
      • Production operations
    • Monitor and Triage the incoming and open Help Desk support ticket queues, respond quickly and effectively to requests, document work done and quickly resolve or escalate issues utilizing the Help Desk system process
      • Work closely with end users to understand the events or steps that led to the ticket creation, as well as to understand the business impact of each issue
      • Perform root cause analysis on tickets
      • Document support tickets for future ease of triage and resolution
  • Participate in afterhours support rotation
  • Follow department procedures to ensure that all objectives and commitments are fulfilled in line with expectations, agreements and standards.
  • Assist IT Management in developing and maintaining standard support procedures and other documentation as required to ensure the support, availability and continuity of IT services.
  • Undertake other such duties as assigned by IT Management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field preferred but may be substituted by substantial work experience
  • Functional experience with an enterprise class ERP (Dynamics AX is preferred)
  • Effective both independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong customer service and support focus with a desire to deliver high quality customer support services
  • Self-motivated and highly professional with ability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a productive and professional manner
  • Ability to understand the organization's goals and objectives
