Beacon is currently seeking a Director, Provider Relations a highly organized and compassionate professional to join our team at our Seven Fields, PA offices. The Director, Provider Relations support and execute provider relations aspects of the provider strategy for existing business as set forth by Regional Operations and Partnerships leadership. Direct provider relations activities to maintain and enhance the Regional provider network for existing clients. Navigate Beacon's matrix structure to engage, coordinate and support cross-functional Beacon stakeholders.

What does a typical day look like?
  • Manage a regional Provider Relations team, ensuring day-to-day work is performed effectively and aligns with larger strategic objectives within the department and across the region, including financial targets.
  • Lead PR team in ensuring satisfaction of providers as well as internal customers, clients and the regional leaders we support.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, client, regulatory and accreditation standards as well as successful audit processes.
  • Collaborate with Network Strategy leadership to execute on process improvement initiatives related to provider satisfaction impacts and root cause of issues, to achieve shorter provider inquiry response times and increase provider satisfaction.
  • Serve as escalation contact for Regional Leadership on provider relations issues.
  • Develop strong provider relationships built on trust and collaboration. Manage and balance Beacon stakeholder and provider expectations.
  • Oversee coordination of practitioner and facility orientation and training.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Legal Departments to perform complaint and grievance resolution and communication.
  • Contribute to provider communications such as newsletters, provider manual, mailings, and training.
  • Support transition of new business to ongoing operations in collaboration with other Beacon teams and departments.

  • What you Contribute?

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Administration or other related field.

    Licensure: N/A

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in Provider Relations
    • Supports, develops and maintains service relationships with all participants (physicians, providers and administrators) of a provider network.
    • Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and model.
    • Travel required: 5%
