Job Description

 

  • Review and verify coding on check requisitions.
  • Request new vendor/employee set up.
  • Input of check requests and employee expense reimbursements into ORACLE system.
  • Request stop payments or voids on checks.
  • Match A/P checks to back up.
  • Prepare Special Handling and submit check requisitions to the Cash Disbursements Unit for signatures.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Answer internal and external inquires and research outstanding invoices.
  • Date stamp check request received from remote sites.
  • All A/P filing and maintenance of same.
  • Overtime required.
  • Miscellaneous Projects.

Qualifications:

  • 2 year degree in Accounting or comparable experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months A/P experience.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Organizational Skills.
  • Minimum typing (40-45 wpm) test necessary.
