Position Summary

Maintain and repair Blow Molding, Injection Molding and support equipment. (i.e. Grinders, blenders vacuum loader, motors and conveying systems.)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pneumatics, blenders vacuum loader, motors, conveying systems and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Take lead responsibility for shift line operation and performance
  • Complete all PM tasking for the production lines
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Troubleshoot Maintenance problems involving electrical and programming issues.
  • Manage maintenance materials, supplies and special tools and equipment needs
  • Perform size and color changeovers on all equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on plant support equipment , chiller, compressor and cooling towers and Pumps
  • Participate in team problem solving meetings
  • Maintain log of all repairs and adjustments made to equipment

Other Responsibilities

Provide back-up and support for the following:

  • Start-up production line
  • Operation of all production equipment
  • Performing and record quality testing per PCNA specifications
  • Performing internal and external CIPs
  • Completing operator based preventative maintenance tasks
  • Recording produced quantities
  • Recording raw material usage
  • Performing line shutdown
  • Clearing individual material jams and resetting equipment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience working in a facility that Operates blow molders or similar equipment.
  • 3-5 years’ experience on high speed production line required
  • PLC identification, connectivity, and intervention required
  • Proficient in the theory and maintenance of hydraulic fluid power systems
  • Proficient in the theory and maintenance of high pressure pneumatic power systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Minimum Competencies

  • Knowledge of direct coupled and variable frequency power transmission
  • General knowledge of electrical components.
  • Must be able to communicate, understand and follow directions and speak, read English fluently and write English legibly. Must have proficient mythical skills.
  • Must be a team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school backgrounds preferred
  • Electrical background preferred to include basic power distribution and circuit evaluation

Preferred Competencies

  • Knowledge of Motor controls and PLC Programming helpful

Physical environment/working conditions

This position involves standing, bending, walking for long periods of time throughout the day. This position occasionally involves pushing, pulling and heavy lifting of about 50lbs.
