Job Description:

The position of Associate, Global Medical Communications will provide project support to Medical Communications, Grants, Medical Information and other Global Medical Communications and Operations (GMCO) functions as needed. The Medical Communications Associate interacts with both internal and external stakeholders as needed to meet the requirements of GMCO functional and departmental projects.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS
The Associate is responsible for coordinating GMCO departmental projects and key GMCO deliverables as detailed in the annual Global Medical Affairs tactical plans. The Associate provides routine and ad hoc support, including, but not limited to literature research, document filing, updating business documents, coordination of the review of medical communications materials via the Veeva MATRIX system, facilitating and executing requirements of the grants process including the management of communications with grant committee members and reconciliation of contracting and payment decisions. This position will also make contributions to the effective and efficient maintenance of department processes, procedures, programs, and systems. The position will report into the Senior Director, Global Medical Communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Managing all reconciliations submitted through the grants portal for application close outs
* Managing the grant contract and payment process in VCT for all North American CME and charitable donations
* Coordination of the Veeva MATRIX system for medical communications
* Recommending and assisting in the development/enhancement and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes for the department
* Maintaining organization and/or design of department shared resource sites, e.g. SharePoint, Vnet (intratnet sites), etc.
* Regularly interacts with all levels of business, including senior members of Global Medical Affairs and other cross-functional stakeholder department leaders
* May maintain calendars, meeting schedules, travel and expense reporting, or other ad hoc administrative support to GMCO LT members as needed
* Performs other projects as assigned

* Proficiency in Veeva applications, Datavision and Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
* Experience with Medical Communications, Publication, Grants, Medical Information and their related general processes and content management systems is preferred

Qualification:

* Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience is required
* Medical Affairs and/or Medical Communications and Publications, Grants (CME), Medical information, and administrative or project management experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industry is preferred
