work description

- reconciles processed work by verifying entries and vendor accounts and comparing system reports to balances

- charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice and expense reports; recording entries

- pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos


- assist with maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions

- assist in the quarterly and year end process by completing cut off check runs for accrual purposes

- help with completing the year end 1099 process


- deposits via check scanner resident checks received and apply payments to appropriate resident ledger

- works directly with construction team to accurately code invoices to correct chart of categories

- tracks and pays retention when jobs are completed


who you are

- business related bachelor’s degree

- yardi experience

- minimum of one year accounts receivables experience and accounting knowledge

- tracking expenses, understanding the chart of accounts, attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, analyzing information, accounting, vendor relationships, PC proficiency, data entry skills, general math skills
