As our Vice President of Data Science & Analytics, not only will you leverage data-driven insights to guide our utility (electric, gas, water) clients in making strategic decisions, but you will also be responsible for the direction and tactical execution of high-quality utility consulting engagements related to Data Science.

E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet.

What you’ll do:

Practice Development and Leadership

• Develop data-centric practice plan and roadmap in collaboration with Consulting leadership and Data Science teams.
• Establish a best-in-class vision on how utilities can leverage analytics to solve their most pressing issues and advocate for that position in the market.
• Serve as SME in the area of utility analytics.
• Build, develop and lead a high-performance Data consulting team.
• Ideate and create innovative service offerings ranging from data maturity models, advanced analytics, data governance, enterprise architecture, and applied data science around the above best-in-class vision.
• Serve as the P&L owner for all data-related consulting engagements.
• Collaborate with Consulting and Data Science teams to define project scope, staffing, timelines, and deliverables for data-related consulting engagements.
• Work with other business units within E Source to provide comprehensive end-to-end offerings to our clients.
• Establish rigorous engagement oversight policies and organization to ensure quality delivery of data-driven consulting engagements.
• Oversee multiple consulting projects, delivering on-time and on-budget with measurable impact.

Business Development

• Drive business development from lead generation and proposal development to deal close.
• Support relevant creation of though leadership material.

Client Focused

• Serve as an Account Executive for at least one corporate strategic account.

What will make you a good fit:

• Strong leadership, team management, and people skills with a history of leading multidisciplinary, high-performing teams
• Deep expertise in algorithms, machine learning frameworks, and data processing tools
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and Computer Vision and their integration into AI products
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences
• Working knowledge of data governance practices, ethical AI principles and data privacy regulations
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• SQL and NoSQL database expertise
• Advanced degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields or equivalent experience
• Demonstrable record of delivering AI / data science / analytics solutions to utility clients
• Strong business development skills
• Significant utility domain experience
• Experienced consultant with client relationship management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically, execute complex technical initiatives, as well as translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations

The budgeted salary for this position is $200,000+ base USD + annual bonus up to 20%. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

This role will require up to 80% travel depending on business development requirements.
