Our franchise client in the home services space is seeking the hire a freelance, UX/UI Design Lead to join their team as they work through a redesign of their official company website and other digital initiatives.
Their goal is to create a more user-friendly, efficient, and engaging digital experience for their customers. This candidate will provide valuable insights and recommendations to guide the design phase working with their Brand, Marketing, and IT(Development) teams.
This is fully remote opportunity, 35-40 hours per week through the end of this year. This is potential for this to continue through 2026. Candidate should have their own computer and software programs to use.
The UX/UI Designer will be:
- taking recommendations based on their UX research phase, reviewing and identifying any potential gaps or challenges evident in this phase
- Collaborative Design and Development by working jointing with team members to review and refine design concepts and insights are translated into compelling designs
- creating wireframes, journey maps and website pages based on research findings and brand guidelines
- will follow corporate guidelines and project timeline, using Smartsheet to track progress of tasks and projects
- will review the updated .com build for at least 2 rounds of design specific review
The UX/UI Design Lead will have:
- 10+ years of website design experience with direct experience developing new wireframes and mobile/desktop assets
- demonstrated ability to present information in a clear and accessible way for both technical and non-technical audiences through multiple channels.
- deep understanding of user-centered design principles and their application in website design
- experience working for or in a Franchise/Franchise model would be highly desirable!
- experience working B2B/B2C, with a portfolio showing case studies and examples
- a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- knowledge of trending website designs and modern user experience requirements
