Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Material Control Specialist (MCS) to join its organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of material handling functions including but not limited to receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory in the warehouse and other store locations within the plant.
  • Open containers using hand tools
  • Counts, weighs, and samples materials
  • Utilize computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information.
  • Handle the loads and unloads of materials onto or from pallets, trays, multi-level racks, and machines by hand
  • Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand or with equipment.
  • Operate equipment inclusive of forklifts (electric or diesel powered), pickers, and pallet jacks (electric or manual).
  • Follow all departmental material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements while putting safety as a top priority.




Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work experience
  • Proficient forklift operator
  • Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Willing to work in a team environment
  • Ability to physically lift objects up to 40 lbs. independently
  • Availability to work overtime as needed


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with Oracle based MRP system
  • Ability to use Zebra handheld scan gun equipment


Pay Information
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
