Teradata Architect
Location: Plano, TX/ Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $58 - $62 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Architect to evaluate, design, and optimize Teradata platform capabilities while driving cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will define architecture standards, integration patterns, and roadmaps for the Teradata environment, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess Teradata 17.20+ platform features and define strategic roadmaps.
• Develop Teradata platform standards, integration patterns, and best practices.
• Execute and present Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new features and capabilities.
• Design and implement foundational architecture for new initiatives.
• Coordinate pilot onboarding for new Teradata capabilities.
• Support teams with feature implementation, troubleshooting, and remediation of Teradata users and applications.
• Manage Teradata cloud migration efforts, ensuring seamless integration.
• Oversee database administration, including upgrades, performance tuning, and backup management (DSA, Data Domain).
• Optimize performance, security, and role-based access control.
• Work with Teradata utilities such as TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPump.
• Utilize advanced utilities like NOS, QueryGrid, and Clearscape Analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and technical needs.
• 5+ years of experience as a Teradata Architect or DBA.
• Proficiency with Teradata 17.20+ and related platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in Teradata cloud migration and integration.
• Expertise in SQL and Teradata utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump).
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, database upgrades, and security management.
• Experience working with NOS, QueryGrid, Clearscape Analytics.
• Familiarity with backup solutions such as DSA and Data Domain.
• Exposure to Snowflake and Databricks is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Knowledge of modern data architectures and cloud platforms.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
