Position: Temporary Worker

Compensation: $19.04 to $23.61/ hour DOE/Q
North Perry Avenue Water District is located in Bremerton, Washington. We are accepting applications for a Temporary Worker for this upcoming summer season. We are in search of a committed, enthusiastic, and motivated self-starter to join our team. This position assists in the construction and maintenance work necessary for maintaining the district water supply and distribution system. This position reports to the Field Supervisor. This Temporary Worker position will work from 6:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday.
Benefits and Salary:
- 1-hour sick leave earned for each 40 hours worked
- $19.04 to $23.61 hour / DOE/Q
Example of Duties:
- Assist with the maintenance of facilities such as mowing, weed whacking, painting of buildings and/or fire hydrants
- Other duties as assigned
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
- Clear and effective communication (including though not limited to oral, written, and electronic)
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to work individually as directed
- Ability to safely operate various power and hand tools
- Effective, respectful, and kind customer service
- Possession of a current Washington state traffic control flagger card is a plus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license
- Be capable of being insured
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, perform semi-heavy labor possibly in adverse weather conditions, and in emergency situations be able to work any hours of the day or night
