Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager 3 role is responsible for leading and managing complex, cross-domain (agile) programs and projects within the Customer & Employee User Interface (CEUI) portfolio in the Customer Experience Information Technology Organization. This position involves utilizing agile methodologies throughout the entire SDLC lifecycle, including inception, design, development, integration and testing, trial, and deployment, to meet quarterly commitments. Your responsibilities will include planning, execution, risk management, and driving continuous improvement in processes for the Agile Portfolio. You will define feature, functionality, and performance metrics requirements, initiate and monitor program progress, ensure milestone dates are met, and manage risks and contingency plans. Additionally, you will evaluate and track change requests, maintain regular program status cadence and visibility, and act as a mentor for colleagues with less experience, while determining your own work priorities.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Delivery Execution:
- Develop and maintain the program/project roadmap and track milestones
- Ensure software development follows Agile or hybrid methodologies, delivering in iterative cycles.
- Ensure adherence to best practices.
- Facilitate sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Accountable and Responsible for project execution and delivery based on defined Project Delivery Management framework. Ensures quality of deliverables.
- Serve as an escalation for impediment removal for the Scrum Masters and agile teams.
- Collaborate across other technology portfolios, excellent communication and relationship management skills to influence and resolve issues.
- Oversee final product delivery and ensure alignment with business needs and user expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in agile portfolio management processes and methodologies.
- Serve as a SME for Agile methodologies, defining consistent delivery metrics, dashboards and/or information to enable effective decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting:
- Maintain a regular cadence for reporting
- Leads executive readouts about program status, risks, changes, escalations
- Provide actionable insights to leadership, stakeholders on project / program progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Implement automation and best practices to reduce delivery timelines and overhead costs.
- Act as the bridge and collaborate with and between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage critical path and risk areas, develop and implement mitigation plans, and escalate issues to unblock open items across portfolio programs to ensure uninterrupted delivery.
- Proactively resolve conflicts and remove roadblocks/Impediments.
What You'll Need:
- Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and influence individuals and teams towards Agile ways of working and to their full potential
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, PowerBI, Tableau, Smartsheet.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Acts as a PMO point of contact for stakeholders and leadership
- Mentors the organization in PMO practices.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
