Elementary Teacher

Umóho Nation Public School is seeking teacher candidates to join our growing, progressive and culturally enriched public school. UNPS is located on the Omaha reservation, 30 miles south of Sioux City, IA and 60 miles north of Omaha, NE. Umóho Nation Public School has been recognized for its innovative educational implementation, using applied behavior analysis. restorative practices, and project-based instruction. Candidates will experience rich cultural activities, and enjoy truly groundbreaking instructional delivery through the Ashita Thewathe Outdoor Classroom, 7-acre School Garden and our newly opened Against the Current Career Academy. We are in the top two in the state of Nebraska in regards to salary and benefits, and offer our staff professional development, instructional coaching and self-care opportunities. Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate.

• $5,000 Sign on Bonus paid at beginning of contract
• 185-day contract
• Contract hours are 7:45am – 3:45pm
• Competitive Salary ($48,282 base for 2025-2026 school year)
