We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in Windows environments for a contract engagement. In this role, you will primarily work on technical projects involving the design, implementation, and management of Windows-based systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling complex tasks, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Windows-based systems and networks to support business operations.
- Lead and contribute to projects involving system migrations, upgrades, and new installations in a Windows environment.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows servers, workstations, and related infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing environments.
- Maintain and optimize system performance, including monitoring, patching, and security updates.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all systems under your care.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and manuals.
- Support disaster recovery planning and ensure that systems are regularly backed up and can be restored when needed.
- Provide ongoing support for project-related technologies and assist in post-project assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Windows environments.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments is a plus.
- Experience with storage solutions, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
