Site Supervisor I or II - Warehouse Distribution Operations- Sulphur (Level Depends on Experience)
Where will you work: Onsite at our Galveston Facility – 4500 Old Port Industrial Rd | Galveston, TX. 77554. Our site operates 24/7/365. You will have the option to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
As a Site Supervisor on our warehouse distribution operations team, you will manage our sulfur site to ensure our locations have the molten sulfur needed to create our fertilizer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a small team as well as all site operations including site budget management. Our site operates 24/7/365. What you’ll do:
Supervise employees and contractors to ensure they receive appropriate training for their tasks.
Ensure employees attend all required environmental, health, and safety training.
Complete and document progression and refresher training for employees.
Provide clear work direction and timely, constructive feedback to the team.
Manage performance issues and develop employees to retain and grow talent.
Support employees in their career development.
Oversee operations and maintenance activities for inbound and outbound shipments.
Schedule manpower appropriately for shipments.
Complete preventive maintenance work orders on time.
Conduct safety tailgates and review incident or near-miss reports with employees.
Monitor operations and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
Assist employees with operation and maintenance tasks as needed.
What you’ll need:
Supervisor I
HS/GED
5 + years of operations and/or maintenance experience at a plant in the fertilizer industry, chemical industry and/or a heavy industrial environment
1 + years of leadership experience
Supervisor II
HS/GED
10 + years of operations and/or maintenance experience at a plant in the fertilizer industry, chemical industry and/or a heavy industrial environment
2 + years of leadership experience
All Levels:
Microsoft Office Suite
Driver’s license
Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card
