Stone Ridge is seeking a Student Billing Manager to begin work in June 2025.

Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a coeducational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Student Billing Manager will work as an integral part of the Business Office and perform work related to student billing and beyond. 

The Student Billing Manager will: 

• maintain the student billing system, including entering tuition, fees, auxiliary charges and credits and maintaining the source documents. 
• create and process invoices for student charges, monthly extended day study fees, and other ancillary charges. 
• reconcile student billing data with the accounts receivable account in the general ledger and address any discrepancies. 
• communicate with families about contracts, tuition, fees, statements, payment plans, missed payments, payment plans, etc.  
• work with the Chief Administrative Officer to address delinquent accounts; work with admissions to coordinate the annual enrollment process; and collaborate with the Controller on student billing reports and reconciliations. 
• enter and maintain the semi-monthly student billing payroll deduction amounts for those students whose parents are Stone Ridge employees.
• prepare reporting and information on revenues and expenses and assist in projections and budgeting alongside other Business Office employees. 
• support and suggest improvements to accounting processes within the Business Office.
• additional accounting duties, depending on prior experience.

The desired candidate will have: 

• a Bachelor’s Degree.
• a minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• experience with Blackbaud, Veracross, FACTS, or other accounting and school management software packages.
• proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• a team-oriented mindset, but also be able to work alone with little supervision.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• an appreciation for the School’s Catholic values and Sacred Heart tradition expressed through the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria.

Preferred but not required skills and experience includes: 

• CPA 
• Experience working at a school 

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $95,000, depending on experience. This position is an annual, 12 month role.
