A dynamic Presentations Studio (financial services) seeks a full-time Senior Presentation Designer in Los Angeles to conceptualize and design high-impact presentations, primarily focusing on investment banking pitch books. You will play a key role in crafting visually compelling materials and ensuring consistent, high-quality document formatting across Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite. While some production and formatting are involved, the emphasis is on innovative design and creative contributions. You will work on a design team of 8+ designers in a fast-paced environment.  

This role is ONSITE 2-3x per week in Century City (Los Angeles)

Candidates MUST have excellent verbal communication skills, experience presenting to leadership, experience working with a CRM/Project Management tool, strong layout design experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and execution of PowerPoint pitch books and client presentations.
• Apply and maintain client templates for consistent branding and technical accuracy.
• Create branded charts, graphs, tables, icons, and other infographics for both internal and external use.
• Develop functional, client-branded PowerPoint templates.
• Apply expert design principles (layout, alignment, color theory, typography, visual hierarchy) to create visually effective presentations.
• Utilize strong conceptual skills to design page layouts, infographics, and financial visuals, including photo retouching and manipulation.
• Transform complex information into compelling visual narratives through advanced presentation design and data visualization.
• Champion best practices in typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Lead conceptual design projects and provide creative solutions.
• Support and mentor other designers, sharing best practices and fostering skill development.
• Exercise independent creative decision-making and problem-solving.
• Perform photo retouching, manipulation, and logo creation/vectorization.
• Design detailed maps (e.g., for energy, infrastructure).
• Create print collateral (invitations, signage, banners).
• Format Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.
• Handle other related presentation design and document formatting requests.

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (for formatting), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Proven ability to design impactful infographics and financial visuals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
• Strong creative thinking skills to develop professional and aesthetically pleasing layouts while adhering to brand standards.
• Experience with job ticketing systems and the ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Effective research skills and the ability to learn quickly.
