Our major computer software client is seeking a Sr. Motion Designer to join their team for a 12 week freelance role. This role is onsite in Englewood, CO.
Summary/Team: This team is a full-service, in-house ad agency focused on delivering high-impact creative grounded in business knowledge, creative expertise, and an invested passion for our brands. We are looking for a talented and experienced full-time Senior Motion Designer to join our growing creative team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape motion design work across major consumer brands and campaigns. We're looking for a creative problem-solver, strong decision-maker, and motion design expert who thrives on pushing creative boundaries and delivering exceptional results across social, broadcast, and digital platforms.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Conceptualize, design, and execute motion graphics and animations for social, broadcast, and digital platforms.
-Pitch and clearly articulate concepts to internal teams and stakeholders, explaining visual direction, motion approach, and intended outcomes.
-Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, copywriters, and project/account managers to ensure creative alignment and quality.
-Apply video editing, color correction/grading, sound design, and VFX to elevate final deliverables.
-Maintain a strong technical understanding of video post-production and motion design requirements across multiple platforms.
-Work independently and collaboratively across simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
-Deliver video and motion design solutions that align with brand creative direction and business objectives.
-Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
-5+ years of experience in motion design, video editing, video production, or a related creative role.
-Agency or comparable in-house experience preferred.
-Online portfolio and reel demonstrating a diverse range of motion and video projects.
-Expertise in motion design and post-production using industry-standard programs.
-Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.
-Moderate to proficient understanding of Cinema 4D and Figma.
-Strong skills in video editing, sound design, VFX, motion graphics, and technical motion workflows.
-Strong design eye with the ability to create visually compelling storyboards to inform motion and animation direction.
-Creative and efficient problem-solving abilities.
-Deep understanding of motion design best practices across social, broadcast, and digital channels.
-Exceptional ability to pitch and communicate creative concepts to stakeholders and teammates.
-Proven ability to manage deadlines while maintaining high creative standards.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate effectively.
-Experience with AI tools for motion prompting and creation preferred.
-Experience in videography, video production, and/or photography is a plus.
