As aSr HSE Engineerhere at Honeywell, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Safety and Health program leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements with special emphasis on Safety/Industrial Hygiene programs. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability in support of business objectives.

You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and you'll work out of our Tempe, Arizona location. This role is 100% onsite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • IntegrateHSEprocesses andsafe work practicesinto dailyoperations
  • Managementand continual improvement ofSafety/Industrial Hygieneprograms includingexposure assessment,hearing conservation, laser/radiation, combustible dust,ergonomics, health programs, PPE, andrespiratory protection
  • LeadHSEinitiativesand continuousHSEimprovement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone
  • Drive Excellence and engagement inHSEthroughmanagement, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, andHSEtraining
  • Deploy and manageHSEinitiativesto continually improve performance of assigned programs and processes
  • Develop and implementsafety programs to maintaincompliancewith allHSEregulatoryand company requirements
  • Oversight andproject managementofHSEprojects as needed
  • Perform sitecompliancereviews and IH monitoring as needed
  • Travel: 15% US

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental function in production/manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or Environment
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, processing environments
  • Consulting experience
  • CIH certification
  • HSEprogram/project development,implementationandmanagementexperience in a manufacturing environment
  • Industrial Hygienemonitoring experience
  • Strong investigation, RCCA, W5, Lean skills
  • Ability to lead Safety Representatives or other teams
  • Experience withHSEmanagementsystems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Use innovative thinking to createcontinuous improvement
  • Working knowledge ofcomputerskills
