JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES: Collaborate with a team of engineers, architects, and product visionaries in transforming legacy platform into cloud-based platform, and innovate on latest technology. Create digital products that eases the work burden of company store employees and enhances the shopping experience for customers every day. Develop a sophisticated, scalable middleware platform using RESTful and Serverless Application Programming Interfaces to be consumed across 7-Eleven. Ensure the platform is robust and easy to maintain, and coordinate with other team members working on different layers of the infrastructure requiring commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product. Provide expertise in Node.JS development, the latest ECMA-Script specifications, and Amazon Web Services technologies like CloudFront, SNS, SES, SQS, Cloud Formation. Work with DevOps and build pipelines, develop Unit Test cases and test frameworks and scripting. Use client-side JavaScript framework like React, jQuery experience in JavaScript and support technologies such as TypeScript and NPM. Build solutions on top of AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, and S3. Utilize knowledge of Node.JS concepts, such as event loop, cluster, memory management, and work with enterprise technology platforms. Build RESTful web services, apply knowledge of NoSQL databases, and develop methodologies such as XP, Agile or Scrum. Apply knowledge of enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security and networking. Develop unit tests during the development process, and drive design and architectural path. Use various technologies and processes, including ECMAScript 2015, NodeJS, Server-side programming, Restful servers and serverless APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker Container Images, Kinesis, Step Functions, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Amazon EventBridge, Web Based Applications and performing Integration Testing using Jest and Mocha.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years of software development experience. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience working with the following: JavaScript, ECMAScript 2015, NodeJS, NPM, Server-side programming, Restful servers and serverless APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TypeScript, and Docker Container Images. 3 years of experience with Cloud Computing Platform tools including Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, API Gateway, S3, and Amazon EventBridge. 3 years of experience designing Web Based Applications and performing Integration Testing using Jest and Mocha. 3 years of experience using Agile and Scrum process. Experience therein to include 2 years of experience working with the retail industry domain, including working with lottery, payment APIs, inventory, and handling transactions.
