Job Description

The Senior Transportation Operations Analyst for the Transportation Management System (TMS) is responsible for optimizing logistics operations by leveraging TMS technologies to enhance transportation planning, execution, and cost control. This role bridges the gap between business operations and technical teams, ensuring that TMS solutions align with organizational goals and deliver high operational efficiency.

Core responsibilities:

-Lead TMS adoption, configuration, and maintenance efforts across Transportation in close collaboration with Medline IT team.

- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvement.

- Collaborate with Logistics, Distribution, IT, and carrier partners to streamline workflows and resolve system issues specific to Transportation Management System.

- Support transportation planning through modeling, scenario analysis, and system automation enhancements.

- Help in building contextual and domain knowledge around leveraging TMS for actionable business insights for Inbound Transportation Operations.

- Provide training and ongoing support to users of the TMS platform and stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging TMS capabilities.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Transportation / Finance or Business.

Work experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle OTM, SAP TM, MercuryGate, Manhattan, etc.).
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead data-driven discussions and influence logistics strategies.

Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume, or global supply chain environment

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
