Summary: This role will oversee all aspects of media strategy, planning, and buying across both brand and performance channels (upper, mid & lower funnel) for the #1 Ball in Golf. This leader will bring a deep understanding of the US media landscape and a proven track record in executing both brand-building (upper & middle funnel) and performance-driven (lower funnel) campaigns and must drive impactful media initiatives that align with our overarching business goals. The Senior Manager will lead all golf ball media strategy, partnering with the golf ball creative team to ensure that messaging best aligns with the respective media channels. This role will also work with cross-functional teams, including the golf ball DTC sales team, Titleist brand team, and golf clubs marketing teams to collaborate and manage key partnerships, and ensure that our media efforts drive measurable results. This senior manager must have a strong mix of creative and analytical skills, with proven success in integrating media strategies. This role will report to the Vice President of Titleist Brand, with direct accountability to the Creative Director of Titleist Golf Balls. As well as partner closely with the Titleist Brand Team and Clubs Media to drive a complete golfer journey.
Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Planning:
- Evolve media approach into a well-balanced strategy that integrates both brand and performance media (upper, mid & lower funnel), ensuring a holistic and scalable impact.
- Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies across US and provide guidance to key international markets, ensuring alignment with golf ball objectives, market dynamics, and consumer insights.
- Partner with Golf Ball Creative and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of media spend to key product launches and seasonal strategies.
- Lead the integration of media strategies into broader marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Define and oversee media KPIs, ensuring clear alignment with brand growth, market penetration, and direct response performance.
- Evaluate co-op media opportunities with top US customers, enabling strong ROI and holistic campaign delivery.
Golf Ball Brand & Performance Media Oversight:
- Drive the strategy for both brand-focused media (TV, print, digital) and performance media (paid search, programmatic, social, affiliates) to meet objectives across the full funnel.
- Ensure that brand-building initiatives create long-term value while driving immediate consumer action through performance channels.
- Lead the evolution, evaluation and optimization of media performance, adjusting strategies based on real-time data and market feedback.
Media Leadership:
- Manage media agency executions, ensuring briefs capture business and brand needs and deliver business requirements.
- Provide coaching and best practices around media planning to regional marketing teams to ensure tailored media strategies that resonate with defined audiences.
- Monitor and assess regional media performance to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, ecommerce, consumer insights, creative, retail and planning teams to ensure media strategies align with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and performance goals.
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to track performance metrics, consumer behaviors, and media effectiveness across markets.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage large-scale media budgets, ensuring optimal allocation across brand and performance initiatives; own US budget, advise on international allocation.
- Partner with finance, brand and agency teams to track spend; partner with Consumer Insights to measure ROI and drive informed decisions, ensuring media investments are delivering measurable results.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a hybrid media team, providing direction, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Build a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team is up to date with the latest media trends, platforms, and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
- 10+ years media, performance marketing and/or brand marketing experience
- Strong understanding of full funnel media strategy
- Experience delivering high growth at the brand or category level
- Experience with Marketing KPI’s and data analysis to prepare and deliver upon strategic goals.
Proven leader with the following traits:
- Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage agency partners along with strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence across the organization, particularity around strategic issues and change management to bring structured, organized workflow to multi-layer team with cross functional dependencies.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and operate under tight time constraints with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to create PowerPoint presentations that take large amounts of information and data and present them articulately and succinctly with a clear vision to the executive team.
Salary: $124,640-$158,773
