Our Ad Agency client is searching for a Senior Front End Developer to join their team. This Developer will drive execution across digital builds including headless sites and legacy WordPress platforms, contributing to technical architecture decisions, and play a key role in optimizing web output for web and SEO.
Location: Virginia Beach, VA; occasional onsite for meetings

Key Responsibilities
- Lead front end development across client projects using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Svelte/SvelteKit framework
- Integrate headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity, Wordpress) using GraphQL or REST APIs
- Maintain and update legacy WordPress websites as needed
- Collaborate with designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of creative work
- Ensure all sites are optimized for performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Deploy and manage sites using modern tools like Vercel
- Support and mentor a junior developer; help establish and evolve best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across a variety of platforms and browsers
- Stay current with emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the table
- Work with marketing and analytics teams to support tracking, testing, and optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of front-end development experience in an agency or fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
- Working knowledge of databases, API architecture, and basic server-side principles
- Familiarity with technical SEO, schema markup, and best practices for indexability and performance
- Experience with WordPress (including theme modification and plugin usage)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Version control (Git) and modern deployment workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to self-manage deadlines and priorities
Bonus:
- Experience with A/B testing, analytics integration, or marketing funnels
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with marketing concepts like conversion optimization and landing page best practices
- Experience working with marketing or analytics teams
