The Estimating group serves a vital role in CEI's PM, teaching estimating skills to future and newly hired project management team members.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Estimator supports the project managementteam achieve its goals by delivering high quality estimates on time.The Senior Estimator is in charge of developing andcompleting project specific estimates based on written and/or oral discretion from Project Managers. The ideal candidate will supervise and direct the Estimating team on the timely completion of electrical estimates. This role will provide leadership to team members including Estimators, Estimator Trainees, and others, and lead estimating system training. This position will report directly to the Assistant Chief Estimator.Responsibilities will include:

Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies.
Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time.
Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that pricing incorporates all scope items.

Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).ABOUT YOUYou bring over seven years of experience in electrical estimating. Your skillset includes proven verbal and written communication skills, and you have an eye for detail ensuring accuracy in the work that you do. BA/BS preferred. Licensure/Certifications:None required.Experience: Seven (7) years of experience required of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high tech industry. 5 years' experience with a design/build contractor. *Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
