The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $98,785 to $123,482

Job Summary

This position is responsible for monitoring the utilization of SAP Real Estate (RE) for the AGR Businesses (Corporate, Power and Networks) to include technical analysis of potential lease and long-term contracts, system inputs and presentation of results.

Key Responsibilities

This position will have no direct reports in their group of three including themselves.

Review contracts entered in SAP Real Estate (RE) by the AGR Businesses (Corporate, Power and Networks) for accounting treatment as capitalized software license, leases, or long-term contracts under both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards through comparison of business inputs against contracts, amendments, or other supporting documentation. Input variable payment drivers as provided by the business and analyze all the postings made via SAP RE to ensure accurate financial results and timely settlement of liabilities. Coordinate with the business to ensure updates of cost estimates for Accrued Removal Obligations (ARO) are accurate, and calculate of US GAAP weighted average discount rates used for ARO contracts discounting. Prepare monthly reporting to facilitate the needs of Management and Business Control Teams, fulfil financial reporting requirements, document internal controls, and generate ongoing KPI reporting for business areas. Function as subject matter expert resource for businesses on topics including lease accounting, ARO accounting, and SAP real estate system processes. Lead or coordinate lease accounting and SAP Real Estate ad-hoc projects for changes to accounting processes or for system developments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and at least 6 years of accounting or financial experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in preparation or audit of financial transactions required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and ability to solve complex problems required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards required, ASC842 and IFRS16 lease accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP system required, SAP preferred.
