Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX controls, and supporting financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during financial close periods.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee fixed asset accounting (excluding Construction in Progress).
* Oversee environmental accounting.
* Oversee asset retirement obligation accounting and related compliance.
* Lead month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial reporting, including footnotes, PBCs, and reporting to Japan.
* Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 control procedures, and internal company policies.
* Assist in SOX compliance activities, including quarterly/annual walkthroughs, testing, and updating business process narratives as needed.
* Play a critical role in the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
* CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting or public accounting firm.
* Experience with fixed assets accounting is a plus.
* Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, especially during month-end and year-end close.
