CNC MILL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Setting production machinery for acceptable production processes and obtaining run approval.

* Ability to edit and interpret G and M Code

* Ability to prove out programs and set ups

* Ability to run 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC Mills

* Analyze machine, tool, and program issues and makes basic repairs, as well as handling minor routine maintenance.

* Perform repetitive and custom work utilizing fixtures, machine stops, indexing devices, to control critical tolerances and dimensions.

* Assure conformance to quality specifications using a variety of gages and indicators.

* Effectively communicate with personnel at all levels.

* Meet production quantity and quality standards.

* Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are in place at all times.

* Follow and enforce work Instructions, procedures, and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES of a CNC Machinist:

* Thorough knowledge of specific department equipment and their processes.

* Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions

* Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.

* Minimum 3-5 years CNC Milling Machining experience (Horizontal, Vertical, or Boring Mill)
