As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by verifying credentials and managing badge access. Job Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry within logistics and distribution locations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
- Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities observed during shifts.
- Communicate with site personnel and visitors to address questions and provide guidance regarding access protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- New York Security Professional Guard Card required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
