As a Security Professional - Access Patrols in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As an Access Control Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols will support a welcoming atmosphere while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Job Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting access to authorized personnel.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or policy violations according to established protocols.
- Assist visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and provide guidance on site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required.
- A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required.
- At least 6 months of prior security experience is required.
- Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
