Level of position depends on experience.

Position will work 4 days on site and 1 day remote weekly.

Responsible for fulfillment of commercial loans, reviewing files and collecting information for adherence to regulatory, compliance, policies and procedures for all due diligence, legal documentation, funding, booking and lien perfection items. Act as a liaison between front line, credit approvers, attorneys, title agents, third party vendors and other internal departments to ensure an accurate and timely closing while maintaining the ban’s risk and controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead communication with key members of the commercial front line as well as credit partners and other internal partners to ensure consistent application of the Bank’s procedures and processes.
2. Responsible for efficient delivery of services to internal and external clients for all related activities including, but not limited to, due diligence processing, documentation processing, closing, funding and post-closing functions.
3. Support the commercial lending process by producing legal and supporting documentation required for closing various types of commercial transactions through timely and accurate input to internal systems. Manage documentation risk by ensuring documentation is in compliance with credit approval, secure a valid lien, and confirm that all pre-closing requirements are satisfied.
4. Manage documentation quality to ensure it meets or exceeds Bank’s exception rate goal by identifying required loan documentation for various loan types and pledged collateral, consistently monitor exception activity and provide timely follow-up and clearing of exceptions.
5. Provide clear verbal and written communication to third parties, (e.g. internal lines of business, attorneys, insurance agents), as needed.
6. Facilitate external loan closings (e.g. attorney closing), process executed loan documentation for booking, accurately disburse loan proceeds, secure lien positions and submit completed loan packages to Loan Services in a timely manner.
7. Provide superior service to internal clients by taking ownership of client needs and requests and following through to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
8. Keep up to date on Truist’s regulatory and compliance policies and procedures as well as footprint states legal requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints
2. Basic commercial banking, finance, commercial credit knowledge or customer service experience.
3. High school diploma or equivalent education and related training
4. Experience in banking, credit operations, finance, loan consultation or administration
5. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of explaining the loan closing process, funding, booking, exceptions and associated legal documentation to internal, external clients and appropriate counsel

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field

2. Knowledge of escrow, title, real estate, appraisals and lien perfection

3. Experience loan closing components including documentation, approvals, funding, exceptions and administration
