Full Job Description
Our client is seeking a driven and technically proficient Sales Manager with a strong background in equipment sales. Ideal candidates will have experience working with hydraulic presses and calling on engineering departments or process engineers across a variety of industries. This is a national role with to key regions including Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and the Carolinas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Identify, pursue, and follow up on new business opportunities, including cold calling, lead generation, and territory research.
  • Call on customer engineering departments, especially Process Engineers, to understand and fulfill technical equipment needs.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead development through quoting, negotiation, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Conduct quarterly regional customer visits to maintain strong client relationships and support new business development.
  • Lead internal order processes after customer purchase order issuance, coordinating with engineering, operations, and purchasing.
  • Support sales engineers to ensure pricing strategies and quoting align with margin goals and payment terms.
  • Provide market intelligence and prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop technical promotional materials and targeted campaigns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market changes to adjust strategy accordingly.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of equipment sales experience, ideally in industrial or capital equipment sectors.
  • Strong technical background; hydraulic press experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work with engineers and technical buyers; experience working with process engineers preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a nationwide territory.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite..
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior success growing market share and developing new territories.
