Full Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring a Regulatory/Environmental Specialist in Austin, TX with a well-known industry leader.
This is a first shift position.
As a Regulator EHS Specialist you will:
- Lead EHS risk assessments including escalating to additional subject matter experts as needed
- Serve as hazardous waste coordinator including updating waste stream profiles for new materials, planning for lab clean-out days, and connecting researchers with guidance for miscellaneous waste types.
- Track EHS activities such as action items and pending approvals
- Maintain active communication channels within EHS team and with researchers
- Activities to support EHS programs related to risk assessment and control, including personal protective equipment
Estimated Duration 24+ months
The ideal candidate will:
- Have Technical, industrial or environmental health and safety experience
- Willingness to learn risk assessment processes and databases/tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Organization
- Project management
- Bachelors degree or higher in Technical/Science/ Engineering
Pay Rate: $30.53-per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
