Full Job Description
RPGLE (SQL) Programmer (On-site in OHIO- this is NOT a remote Job):
2nd shift support (4:30 - 12:30) Monday- Friday
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS):
The minimum requirements include:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent IT experience)
- 2+ years' experience in the following:
- RPG ILE/Free
- SQL
- CL, SDA, RLU
- 5+ years' experience in systems analysis and design
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience in WMS, ERP systems are highly added advantage
- Experience in a Change Management System (Aldon, Turnover, etc.)
- Knowledge in JSON and/or React is a plus
- Ability to work in a highly interactive environment
- Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies
- Ability to work cooperatively with all levels in organization
- Database Design and Development:Creating and maintaining database structures, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
- SQL Querying:Writing, optimizing, and testing SQL queries for data manipulation, reporting, and application integration.
- Data Management:Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security through various database operations.
- Performance Optimization:Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in database queries and overall system performance.
- Database Security:Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
- Collaboration:Working with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders to integrate database solutions into applications and meet business needs.
- Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving database-related issues and errors.
- Documentation:Creating and maintaining documentation for database designs, procedures, and configurations.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong understanding of SQL syntax, data types, and database concepts.
- Database Design: Ability to design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas.
- Performance Tuning: Experience optimizing SQL queries and database performance.
- Data Modeling: Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot database issues.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Database Technologies: May require experience with specific database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
