Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and team-oriented Primary Assistant Teacher to support our mixed-age classroom for children ages 3–6. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep respect for young children and bring a high level of professionalism and flexibility to their work in supporting the lead teacher and maintaining a calm, purposeful classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining the Montessori environment
• Support children with individualized work and group activities
• Model respectful communication and behavior in line with Montessori principles
• Help manage daily routines, including snack, lunch, transitions, and outdoor play
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate professionally with staff and families

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in or experience with Montessori education
• Experience working with young children in a classroom or caregiving setting
• Coursework in early childhood education (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and flexibility
