As a Retention Marketing Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing our marketing strategies by analyzing data from paid media, email campaigns, Google Cloud Platform, and other customer touchpoints. Your insights will help determine what’s working, identify opportunities for improvement, and refine strategies to maximize customer retention. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, and a deep understanding of retention-focused marketing metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis & Insights: Analyze marketing performance across channels, focusing on retention efforts. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in customer retention.
  • Retention Metrics: Focus on key retention metrics (e.g., churn rate, customer lifetime value, repeat purchase rate) to assess campaign performance and inform strategies.
  • Data Visualization: Use data visualization tools (such as PowerBI) to create clear, visually appealing, and easily interpretable reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights to marketing and leadership teams to help guide decision-making.
  • Optimization Recommendations: Based on data analysis, recommend optimizations and strategies to improve retention and enhance marketing campaigns.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with student experience, advising and marketing teams to ensure alignment of retention efforts and successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, particularly in marketing with a focus on customer retention.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data manipulation).
  • Strong knowledge of marketing performance metrics related to customer retention (e.g., retention rate, churn rate, customer lifetime value).
  • Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights to guide decision-making.
  • Experience with data integration and pulling data from multiple sources (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, email platforms, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL or similar data query languages.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Mailchimp) and paid media analytics (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation and journey mapping.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.00 to $52.15 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
