Responsibilities*

Candidate will function as the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center lead applied biostatistician and data scientist responsible for the data analyses for all ongoing CPFRC studies.  As a faculty member this position will be expected to participate in writing grants for submission to the National Institutes of Health aimed at providing resources for these endeavors, writing scientific papers, as well as participate in the supervision of laboratory technicians, post-doctoral fellows and other learners.  We expect that the applicant hired will achieve a high level of independence as a researcher and be able to obtain extramural funding in the long term.

Required Qualifications*

Successful candidate must have outstanding research training with previous experience in biostatistics, statistical genetics and epidemiology.  Position requires a PhD, MD or combined degrees with 5-7 years postdoctoral training, a well-defined research direction with an outstanding publication record that is commensurate with the level of training and the critical elements of teaching (e.g., knowledge of subject matter, skill in presentation, enthusiastic approach).

Background Screening
