About the Position:
The Regional Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring superior field-based execution by a team of Clinical Educators to deliver quality HCP and patient education programs that enhances the confidence of patients on a newly prescribed therapy for a chronic neurological disorder.
Regional Clinical Manager is a field-based role that will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and development to a clinical nurse educator team to help them create and execute successful business plans and achieve VMS and client goals. This position will lead and develop the team with an emphasis on quality execution, time management, action planning, and alignment with field sales counterparts to create meaningful relationships with customers and their office staff. This individual is also responsible for working cross-functionally with internal VMS and client team members to ensure all appropriate training, compliance, and developmental objectives are achieved. The Regional Clinical Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Field Educator Networks.

Leadership and Interpersonal Influence
- Provide team leadership and management including assessing talent, training, coaching, evaluating staff, and ensuring each nurse educator and the district meet/exceed all published goals/metrics

- Identify and address team developmental needs and helps employee address them to achieve optimal performance aligned with business and client objectives
Business and Clinical Acumen
- Conduct on-going district evaluations and planning inclusive of short, mid, and long-term strategic goals and activities
- Allocate and manage resources in accordance with established budgets
- Strong understanding of patient education services, related product, disease state trends and data to understand and manage the competitive landscape
- Facilitate effective and on-going data-based assessments of execution and district performance while constantly seeking opportunities for improvement
- Set measurable objectives with the Clinical Educators that will enhance or create new business opportunities
- Executes business planning and delivers in-depth client solutions by applying critical thinking and advanced experience and knowledge to produce strategically focused deliverables
- Strong financial acumen; can produce, interpret, and present financial information, territory/district performance metrics, and other key business reports
Communication and Partnerships
- Create effective working partnerships with client sales management, client brand team and other client key stakeholders through alignment of strategic goals and action planning
- Collaborate and serve as a liaison with VMS account team and cross-functional internal partners
- Demonstrate and communicate value and performance of clinical educator team consistently to VMS management and client team
- Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to determine the root cause of issues to fully understand them; collaborates with leadership to resolve more complex client issues
- Shares meaningful and important data with clients that reinforces program effectiveness and VMS value; is viewed by the client as a strategic partner
- Understands and proactively anticipates implications of change with client's product or portfolio

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Required License and/or credential(s):
- RN, NP, PA, or PharmD
Required Skills:
- Experience with managing nurse educators strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/health care field management experience required, in addition to a minimum of 7 years of neurology and/or rare disease experience
- Demonstrated skill in communication, strategic analysis, leadership, team building, coaching
- Proven adaptability to market demands and product relevance
- Experience working for or contracting with pharmaceutical required
- Eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs or in federal procurement or non-procurement programs
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel to meet territory demands (approximately 75%)
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Must have home access to internet
- Excellent written, oral and presentation communication ability
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and ability to motivate others
